In 2022 the volume of bilateral trade in goods with Paraguay amounted to 358,0 thousand dollars and decreased by 67,4% comparing to 2021. The Ukraine's exports composed 96,6 thousand USD (-78,0%), the imports – 261,3 thousand USD (-60,4%). The trade balance was negative for Ukraine – 164,7 thousand USD.
The Ukraine's main foreign trade positions with Paraguay were:
in exports – various chemical products (47,9%); electric machines (20,4%), tools, cutlery (18,0%) and pharmaceutical products (11,9%).
in imports – grain crops (44,2%), seeds and fruits of oil plants (39,4%), as well as tobacco and its industrial substitutes (11,7%).
The foreign trade in services between Ukraine and Paraguay has not been registered for the period.
In January-October 2023, the volume of bilateral trade in goods increased by 7,2% and amounted to 329,4 thousand dollars. Exports increased by 37,0%, to 108,5 thousand dollars, imports decreased by 3,2% to 220,8 thousand dollars. The balance of trade in goods was negative for Ukraine and amounted to -112.3 thousand dollars.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, there has been no FDI stock between the countries at the end of the period.
